Pratersauna, 2013
It’s dark and chilly when we approach Pratersauna. Normally the hip party crowd would be queueing at the entrance of this popular club, but today we enter through the back door. We know that we are going to meet one of the most exciting acts in town, yet we still don’t really know what to expect of this unusual filming session. A lot of secrecy surrounds the duo Her Voice Over Boys, in short HVOB. You won’t find many photos of Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, the masterminds behind the project. So it feels a bit like lifting a secret when we meet the two for the shoot. Formed in 2012 HVOB have created a lot of buzz among music enthusiasts and club goers with their organic, occasionally melancholic but always danceable beats, vocals and sounds. At Pratersauna they perform the beautiful “Always like this” with live drums and mindblowing visuals by lichterloh.

Pratersauna
The opening of Pratersauna in 2009 was nothing short of a milestone for Vienna’s club scene. Just a year later the venue for electronic music was elected as the second best club of all German-speaking countries by the readers of De:Bug magazine. And right they were! A great location in the Prater park, a fantastic programming and an outdoor area (with a pool!) make Pratersauna the first choice for lovers of advanced dance music and a good night out. As the name suggests the space was originally a sauna. Rumour has it that the Russian mafia used to meet there, which earned the Sauna a rather dubious reputation. After more than 40 years it was closed in 2008 and made way for today’s Pratersauna.
